Since Artemisia annua is a purely natural product, there may be slight differences in appearance and fragrance.
The only difference is that Artemisia annua or Moringa broken are the dried leaves of the plant, while Artemisia or Moringa ground are the same dried leaves that are pulverized using a grinder. There are no differences in the ingredients/components.
Starting in 1996, we worked with scientists from different countries to offer a consistent, reliable Artemisia annua product .
This resulted in a special breed of annual mugwort that is free from any genetic manipulation and is not a hybrid form.
Its major advantage: It contains up to 20 times more active ingredients than most wild forms of the Artemisia annua plant. Furthermore, it doesn't yet have flowers at the time of harvest in late autumn, making it a very allergy-friendly subspecies and particularly advantageous for use as a cosmetic ingredient.
This " masterpiece of the green treasure chest" is available exclusively from us.
Ensuring Artemisia annua products meet high quality standards requires a great deal of effort.
It is therefore hardly surprising that the price of high-quality products is adjusted accordingly and that comparatively cheap products cannot possibly meet the same quality standards.
For example, a field worker in Germany earns about 100 times as much as a picker in Northeast India. For the price we pay our German farmers for 1 kilo of Teemana production, we would get 150 kilos of (brown) wild-form produce from Asia.
Annual mugwort ( Artemisia annua) and common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) are two remarkable plants from the daisy family.
The leaves of annual mugwort are finely pinnate, giving them a delicate, graceful appearance . Their color is deep green. The leaves of common mugwort are broader and larger.
The most important difference is that, unlike common mugwort, annual mugwort (Artemisia annua) contains a high proportion of secondary plant substances . Neither is considered a food.
Artemisia annnua anamed plants, for non-commercial purposes only, are sold and shipped in April/May by only one manufacturer and can be ordered via their homepage or by email.
Our Artemisia annua is grown exclusively in Germany, mostly in Baden-Württemberg.
Moringa oleifera grows in tropical and subtropical climates. Our Moringa comes from anamed fields in Tanzania.
The Moringa is packaged and ground in Germany.
Euphorbia hirta is also a tropical plant. We obtain our Euphorbia hirta through wild collection by our employees in the bushland of Tanzania and Congo. Euphorbia hirta is packaged in Germany.
Eucalyptus maidenii grows in tropical and subtropical climates. The leaves are picked by our project partner in the highlands of Malawi and packaged in Germany.
We only carefully strip the leaves of the plants by hand and then dry them.
There are no stems or flowers in our products!
Our leaf-cut products (formerly "broken") are extremely dried, which is the only reason they can be frozen. To do this, wrap the bags in a layer of aluminum foil (to preserve the essential oils) and another plastic bag, then freeze. Thaw unopened before consumption to prevent condensation from entering. The products we currently supply will then have a shelf life of at least five years at minus 18 degrees Celsius.
At teemana, we care about nature, which is why we follow the zero-waste principle. All our packaging is fully recyclable or incinerable without residue, producing no toxic emissions.
Our PE bags are reusable up to 20 times and can be incinerated 100% residue-free into carbon dioxide and water. Proper handling is crucial: After use, we ask you to recycle the packaging for ecological recycling.
Reuse and recycle properly.
Selected packaging sizes come in recyclable kraft paper stand-up pouches, free of aluminum and PVC. Here, too, multiple use or upcycling is recommended before recycling the packaging.
Teemana is committed to a sustainable circular economy and participates in the dual waste disposal system.
For one cup, add about 1 teaspoon of lemongrass tea to a pot with 250 ml of water, bring to a boil, remove from the heat, and let it steep for at least 15 minutes. Then strain and enjoy. Or boil 1 liter of water with 1 tablespoon of lemongrass tea, etc., and drink it throughout the day to do yourself some good.
